This is the 2025 model (M4 Max). Apple has since released a newer generation. The exterior size, port order and labels come from Apple's specifications, tour diagrams and repair instructions. The internal layout follows the stack order of Apple's repair instructions and exploded view. Every position inside the housing is inferred, and we found no teardown of the 2025 model to check it against.
Every part Apple names in its repair instructions is drawn (39 parts). The power cord is not shown in Apple's list and is not drawn. Also not drawn: the Apple logo, the lock slot, and the three gold strips along the housing walls in Apple's photos. Vent patterns are schematic. Apple's exploded view shows the Fan as one part with two blowers, and the model draws it that way. Screw counts and drive types are Apple's. Screw positions are schematic. Apple's locator image 121998 shows an X-shaped heat sink with four screws. The model draws a rectangular finned block instead, shaped after the finned block under the Fan in image 121997. The SSD modules are drawn on the top face of the Logic board so the cutaway shows them. Apple's photo 121989 shows them from the bottom, with the Bottom cover, Power supply and Internal frame removed. Memory is a schematic pair of blocks, because Apple does not say where it sits. All sizes and positions inside the housing, and the face of the Logic board that carries each part, are model parameters.
